Wow... it's pretty much inevitable that the Los Angeles Clippers will select Blake Griffin with the #1 pick of the upcoming draft, and...

Firstly - CONGRATULATIONS CLIPPER NATION!!!

Ok, now that we're done with that, back to reality. It's pretty much inevitable that the Los Angeles Clippers will select Blake Griffin with the #1 pick of the upcoming draft, and that's just got to be a complete mix of emotions for the guy.
On one hand, it's awesome.  Probably #1.
Fantastic.
On the other hand - doomed to play for the Clippers.
How soul destroying.
Yay.

As the roster currently stands now, Griffin will be the 8th player on the Clippers that plays at the 4 or 5 slot.  Add to that a shot-happy point man, an embattled coach, and a roster that is more than happy to just go through the motions and this is not a good match for a guy who could actually be worth a damn.
Gotta feel for him.

Oh well, I just hope that Australian Patty Mills does well draft-wise (and given the impact Aaron Brooks has had of late, the value has risen on waterbug-quick point guards!).
