Ok, so working on the assumption that a team gets the #1 pick, and DOES draft John Wall, here are my John-Wall-is-a-lock-for-#1 scenarios and what happens if certain teams get him:
New Jersey: They trade Harris for a packet of chips, a future unconditional first round pick, and some sort of legitimate PF. Or they trade Harris for picks in the following year's "big heavy draft" maybe even trying to grab a Cousins-type to run alongside Lopez. Wall/Lee/Williams/Cousins/Lopez is a damn nice core...
Minnesota: If they get Wall, Flynn/Rubio are history and although Flynn has had little to work with this year... still, he didn't impress me anywhere near as much as I was expecting hence: he goes. Hopefully Rambis goes as well meaning Love can get some decent minutes.
I still think Love/Jefferson can work, and Wall feeding them both would be interesting.
GSW: Bye bye Montas Ellis and your stupid contract, there's a new kid in town.
Wall would average 25/6/6/3/4 in this system I reckon with the 4 being turnovers. The question would then be "Well now we have so many damn "pieces" why aren't we winning???"
Nellie goes bye-bye, you get a big in for Ellis and you're cooking again...
Indiana: Wouldn't this be awesome. Can you imagine Granger and Wall??? I certainly can and with Hibbert in the middle, some decent trades for Rush/Murphy et al and this team would be back on the map.
David Lee???
Could happen... Indi are my pick for the #1 in this draft based on nothing more than a gut feeling...
Washington: Ummmmm... Dang?
Arenas is coming back we all know it. So having 2 clones in the back court probably won't work. And no one on Earth is taking Arenas' contract. But they won't pass on Wall. So then what? Beats me...
This could end up being the worst roster in the history of ever...
Detroit: See above for "Dang" remark.... Stuckey has potential. Bynum has potential.
Rip is stuck there until his contract expires. Ben Gordon is there now too.
If anyone were too pass on Wall, it'd be Detroit - and they'd be converting his pick into some awesome bigs if possible.
Philadelphia: Jrue Holiday + John Wall = 10 years plus of one of the best back courts in the NBA.
Holiday is going to be awesome in 2 years. Wall is awesome now.
They have the bigs. This could be like the second coming of Iverson minus the controversy...
Sacramento: Tyreke Evans + John Wall = Championship. Both are combo guards and both are capable of averaging triple doubles.
If the bigs learn to play some D (enter Carl Landry and Jason Thompson) they would be borderline play-off bound straight up.
Utah: Deron Williams + John Wall = Championship NOW.
This would be worth it of for no other reason than to see Isiah Thomas crucified in Times Square at New Years.
Sloan would go from idiot to genius in under 10 seconds, and Boozer would actually stay put. Imagine that: Williams/Wall/AK47/Boozer/Anyone... Hell, I could play that last slot and we'd be play-off bound.
LA Clippers: Two number #1's in a row would have Sterling smiling and The Clip red hot to go in 2011.
Someone would have to be traded though and most likely, it'd be Davis.
It's probably just be for expiring contracts, but given that LAC will have HEAPS of cap room in the coming off season thanks to the Camby and Washington trades, they'll bring in some awesome artillery to run with Wall/Gordon and Griffin.
