In-state matchup with Warriors tops ticket prices for Lakers in March

The Los Angeles Lakers currently hold the fourth-worst record in the NBA, and even their futility won’t give them the best odds to land the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. The New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves all have at least three fewer wins than the Lakers.

The Lakers are 3-7 in their last 10 games and are in last place of the Pacific division. It has been a season to forget in Los Angeles, who are hoping for a high draft pick in combination with a Kobe Bryant return from back-to-back season ending injuries.

It may be a long way back to glory for the purple and gold. Below we take a look at a few of March’s most expensive and least expensive average tickets for the Los Angeles Lakers on ScoreBig.

Most Expensive: 3/16/2015 | Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers | Avg: $269.69 | Get-in: $50

The Golden State Warriors have one of the hottest tickets in basketball right now. They’ve been atop the NBA for the majority of the season, alternating at the top spot with the Atlanta Hawks. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and the rest of the Warriors are a highlight reel waiting to happen, and the Lakers have little to no chance defeating them on March 16th. Oracle Arena will be filled, as the team is gunning for the No. 1 overall seed and home court advantage if they reach the NBA Finals.

Most Expensive Home Game: 3/8/2015 | Los Angeles Lakers vs. Dallas Mavericks | Avg: $137.90 | Get-in: $20 | Staples Center Parking on ParkWhiz: $3.30

The game with the highest average ticket game for a home game at the Staples Center is on March 8th against the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks are still trying to figure themselves out after acquiring Rajon Rondo from the Boston Celtics earlier in the season. The Mavericks are 18 games above .500 and are playing for playoff seeding between the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Least Expensive Home Game: 3/10/2015 | Los Angeles Lakers vs. Detroit Pistons | Avg: $102.63 | Get-in: $13 | Los Angeles Parking: $3.30

The Lakers least expensive average ticket price for a home game is against the Detroit Pistons on March 10th. The Pistons are on the outside looking in on a playoff spot in the East, but it is still possible for them to make a late push. The Pistons acquired Reggie Jackson at the trade deadline from the Oklahoma City Thunder and are in the process of figuring out their best route to success with him leading the team.

The Lakers don’t have much to look forward to the rest of the way, but it may be a chance to see a game at the Staples Center for an affordable get-in price to watch an NBA game.
